New travel expert with 25 years’ experience in store to help clients
Premier Travel has welcomed a new travel expert to one of their Norwich branches after employing an agent who lost her job at Thomas Cook.
Lynn Barnard will be joining the Premier Travel branch on Bedford Street, just a two-minute walk from her former store. Lynn spent 25 years working for Thomas Cook and built up a loyal customer base.
Lynn said: “I was in Dubai on holiday when I heard the news about Thomas Cook. It was not the relaxing holiday I had imagined and I felt very sad about the situation.
“When I saw there were vacancies at Premier Travel, I applied and was invited to interview the following day so it was a very quick process. I am so delighted to be back in the travel industry and I’m looking forward to seeing all my old customers and picking up where we left off.”
Paul Waters, Director of Premier Travel, said: “The travel industry is extremely close knit so we were devastated to hear the news of Thomas Cook.
“Premier Travel wanted to help in any way we could so fast-tracked interviews for staff who had lost their jobs. We are really pleased to have been able to welcome 18 former Thomas Cook travel experts to our branches so far and back into a job they love.”
