I joined Premier Travel in 2006 as a trainee travel consultant and have been here ever since. I started at Rose Crescent (now Sidney Street) where I stayed for six years, and then moved over to our Ely branch in 2012. In 2015, I became manager of our Swaffham branch and have been here ever since!
I love travel because every day is different, I love travelling myself and being able to experience a variety of destinations. You need to love what you do, so it’s important to be passionate about it!
I like to think that I’ve been very lucky with the range of destinations that I’ve visited during my career at Premier. I have been to Mauritius, the Seychelles, Dubai, Hong Kong, Egypt, Tunisia and the USA – including Las Vegas, New York and Florida. I’ve also seen lots of Europe, and particularly like to encompass a new, short city break each year. Recently, I have travelled to Reykjavik, Prague, Rome, Barcelona, Seville and Dubrovnik - amongst many others. I’ve also cruised quite a lot with various cruise lines including P&O Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Fred Olsen and Hurtigruten. As well as travelling along the Norwegian coastline on a small ship, I have also skied in Austria and enjoyed a narrow boating holiday on the Worcestershire and Birmingham Canal.
I am going to immerse myself in the culture of Thailand in March. We’re staying in Bangkok first to explore the temples and the rest of the city before moving on to Elephant Hills which is an amazing place in the jungle. Our final stop in Thailand will be Krabi to relax and explore the beaches as they are stunning. Later in the year, I will head West and to the Caribbean – probably Cuba as now is such a great time to visit.
I would like to go to Budapest, as I loved Prague and I’ve heard they are very similar – the buildings look beautiful there. I would also quite like to go to Vietnam, China and India as well exploring more of the Greek Islands. The list is always growing though…
I travelled to South Africa & Zanzibar for our honeymoon and it was truly a once in a lifetime holiday. We experienced so many things from wine tasting in Franshoek to seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach and visiting Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent a lot of his time in prison. We spent three nights in an amazing lodge in Kruger from where we went on game drives. It was incredible getting so close to the animals in their natural environment. We then finished our trip in Zanzibar which had the most idyllic beaches as well as a lot of history.
Probably going to Disneyland Florida in Orlando when I was little, it was a child’s dream!

My travel adaptor – you’d be surprised how many people forget to pack them and then have to buy one at the airport.
