I joined Travel Centre’s Reepham Road branch in 1985. I left to have my son in 1991, when I had a short break from travel. Then I joined what used to be Galaxy Travel and stayed there for four years, before returning to Travel Centre in 1995 where I am now – I’ve always been based at Reepham Road.
You never know what sort of enquiry you’re going to get – everything you do is different and I love the thrill of doing that all day every day!
Mainly to the USA – I have family that live in Michigan and Texas so have been out there several times. The areas I have visited include; California - San Diego & Los Angeles; Texas - Dallas, San Antonio & Fort Worth; Utah & Salt Lake City, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, The Great Lakes, Detroit, Chicago, New York & Boston, New England, a lot of Florida - Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Tampa; Toronto and Niagara Falls in Canada, then Thailand, Japan and Hong Kong in the Far East, Mauritius and The Komandoo in the Maldives, and European destinations such as Cyprus, Menorca, Ibiza and lots of Greece – Corfu (where I go every year) Crete, Halkidiki, Rhodes, Samos, Symi and Lesbos.
My annual trip to Corfu next year for some sunshine, and I’m also hoping to go to Lanzarote in the spring.
I would love to do a safari in somewhere like South Africa – I love animals so I would love to see the big five over there, and I would also love to see New Zealand for the scenery – it looks so tranquil and diverse.
Corfu! I love the weather, food, people, climate, culture and scenery. I love it all, it’s such a relaxed way of life that they have over there and it keeps me coming back for my holiday every year. I’ve been going every year since 2008!
Snorkelling in the Maldives; leaving the lagoon and entering the deep and vast Reef….it was an awesome moment and made me feel quite emotional seeing all the different fish and beautiful marine life.
If you’re going away, always purchase things like theme park entrance passes or entrance to tourist attractions before you leave the UK, as it will save a lot of money and queuing when you get to your destination.
I’m always very enthusiastic and love helping my customers’ book the right holiday for them.
My antiseptic wipes – I keep them in my bag for emergencies.
