Jamie Rogers Branch Manager

Tell me about your travel background…

I joined Travel Centre in 2004 – first of all I started as a relief travel consultant moving around all of the Travel Centre branches, then I became branch manager of Dereham for a year. Whilst managing Dereham, I also began to manage what used to be our Travel Norwich City and Grove Road branches, and then finally came to manage Reepham Road in May 2013 where I’m currently based. I took over the management of our Travel Australia and Premier Flights outlets in March 2014 which has now been consolidated in the one shop here at Reepham Road. In total i've been in the travel industry 30 years and counting!

Where are you off to next?

Travel wish list..

South America – I would love to go to Machu Picchu as it really intrigues me! I’m not as familiar with South America as I am with other destinations, so I would love to explore the area and gain first-hand knowledge of the region.

Favourite holiday destination and why?

Kenya – I just love the natural beauty, diverse landscapes and seeing the animals in their natural habitat. I would advise anyone to go for a unique holiday experience and to try something new.

Favourite travel memory and why?

My first ever holiday to Malta – it was my first flight and made it such an exciting trip. Arriving in August, the weather was scorching, and it was a lovely first holiday experience. I’ve gone back ten times in total since and am about to go back for my eleventh visit!

Top Travel Tip?

Always do your research – research is key. You need to know the destination is right for you before you book.

Book with me because…

I have bags of experience! And I’m very enthusiastic, I get very excited about each individual holiday and I treat each booking as if it were my own.

Never travel without…

Suitcase scales! It’s no good turning up at the airport with too much luggage.
